JESUS CHANGES EVERYTHING!

Noelle Beck is a passionate spiritual entrepreneur within the city of Akron. She founded First Glance in 2000 to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of teenagers in Kenmore. In 2017, Noelle established Akron on Purpose where she helps others unlock the fullness of relationship we can have with God and hosts a yearly conference rallying, encouraging and highlighting the amazing women of Akron!

Noelle’s adventures take place in the Kenmore community of Akron where she resides with her amazing husband, Tim, of 23 years, along with any housemates they pick up along the way. She has the distinct pleasure of being Enoch, Trinity and Gio’s mom. She loves frothy coffee, Jeeps with no doors, and biking adventures.

Her life goals include biking across America, wear Converse until she’s 80, and taking over Akron with the truth and love of Jesus!

Jennifer is a minister, singer, songwriter and proud member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Akron, Ohio, where she serves in the area of pastoral care and worship. As a licensed minister, she leads worship services, preaches the word, teaches Bible Study, and conducts worship and music workshops.  She is grateful for her musical accomplishments (albums GREAT GOD and DESTINY LIVE), academic accolades (University of Akron and Ashland Theological Seminary graduate). But when asked Jennifer “affectionately known as JJ” would say “I’m the proud mother of two wonderful, talented children, Joshua and Jazmin. I’m saved and made to worship.  

Alyssa  is  married to her high school sweetheart, and they have four sweet kids together, including two surprisingly red-headed boys, and two goldilocks girls. Her favorite things are cooking good meals, date nights, dancing toddlers, and deep talks. She's come to realize that the “holiest” among us are those who have merely learned to throw themselves before Jesus every day, and she is trying to live her life on the altar before Him, the safest place to be. 

Brandy is a mother to two adult ladies and Nonnie to the most amazing granddaughter. She loves creating and was blessed 15 years ago to start a business, Sweetlycreated4u,  which makes handmade scented soy candles and so much more. Brandy refers to it  as "our business" because it’s Gods business she just is thankful to get to run it. She has the privledget to talk about God while working as she is  blessed to meet so many different people while helping them and shopping for them. Brandy realizes you can be a blessing to others by just helping with small things that make life easier for them. She is  that in moments when she feels she's not getting it right, God always finds away to show her how special she is. 

Daisiree Black, also known as Daisi, is a native of Milwaukee, WI. In 2003, Daisiree traveled to Akron for the first time with her church to attend a faith-based summer program. There she met her husband, Garrick Black II and in 2015 they got married and she moved to Akron. 

While living in Akron, Daisiree has held multiple positions with Little Steps Big Dreams (a local daycare), YEPAW, and Minority Behavioral Health Group. In 2022, she became the director of WEPAW, a subsidy of YEPAW that serves 4-11 year olds. 

Daisiree has a heart for God first, her family, and has a tremendous passion for nurturing children. She has volunteered with various organizations in the city and has served on the Akron Women on Purpose worship team for 4 years. She serves in ministry at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Akron, OH. 

Justine is a mom to two amazing daughters, Josie and Noelle. She is an enthusiastic homeschooler and finds no greater joy than pointing her girls to Jesus. She also works from home full time as a Disability Liaison Consultant and is so grateful that God has provided for their every need.

She is passionate about people and loves to connect with others. Never one to meet a stranger, Justine feels most alive when sharing the Gospel and telling others about the goodness of God. 

Justine’s favorite things include worshiping Jesus, the beach, all things summertime, sunrises, ice cream, kids, photography, being outdoors, and exploring new places with her daughters. 

She is excited and honored to be a part of Women on Purpose and her desire is that her words will bring encouragement and glorify the Lord.

Kaitlynn is a girl who has received an abundance of glitter + grace from God. Her mom, dad, brother, Matt,  dog, Bentley, have helped her to know the care, comfort, + compassion of Jesus. She is passionate about increasing awareness of His presence, power, + perfect love through prayer.

She has a podcast + newsletter called Glitter + Grace. These platforms have the purpose of encouraging people in pain + pointing them to the hope they have in Jesus.  She does this through sharing ✨Sparkle Stories ✨ that showcase the patterns, people, places, + prayers that God has used to fuel her faith, cover her in glitter, + make her more like Jesus.  She believes that God has given ‘glimmers of goodness’ to all of us, but we don’t always have eyes to see them. 

A few things that add a little (or a lot) of sparkle to her life include - long walks, lingering conversations, + leaving glitter all over the place as a reminder of God’s goodness + grace. Also, alliteration + words that rhyme. ✨

Marlo is a friendly, bubbly, enthusiastic, loving, caring Christian woman, wife, mother and grandma.¿ She has 4 adult children, 3 bonus kids, plus 10 grandchildren. She has been married to Jason, a wonderful man of God, for 12 and a half years.

She loves the outdoors, crafts, butterflies and volunteering. She also loves helping people.¿ She is passionate about growing her relationship with Jesus.

Marlo is a woman who has truly experienced the transformational power of Jesus in her life.¿ Coming from a past of an abusive father, she found herself as a mother with uncontrollable anger, leading to time spent in jail. As a mother, she has had many unimaginable struggles where she has had to lean into Jesus and his power. She has had to overcome these and many other obstacles in her life.

Selena White is not only a dedicated wife and mother but also an ardent follower of Christ. Married to her beloved husband, Ukali, for 30 blissful years, Selena is the proud mother of four children and the doting grandmother to three grandchildren, with three more who have joined the Lord. 

Selena's spiritual journey began at the young age of 15, and since then, her ultimate goal in life is to live in a way that hears God's affirming words, "Well done." Her faith is the cornerstone of her existence, and it is this faith that she fervently shares with others.

Passionate about women's spiritual growth, Selena dedicates herself to discipling women whose hearts yearn to please God above all else. She is also a mentor to wives and mothers, supporting and guiding those courageous enough to fight for their marriages and families in a world often filled with obstacles.

Throughout her life, Selena has witnessed and experienced the power of God's love and providence in countless ways. These experiences have not only strengthened her faith but have also ignited a desire in her to encourage others in their faith journey. She fervently prays that her testimony will inspire many to persevere and never give up, no matter what challenges they face.

Selena's life is a testament to her unwavering faith and her dedication to helping others grow in their relationship with God. Through her work, she continues to touch the lives of many, leading them towards a deeper and more fulfilling relationship with the Lord.
